The Comrade Minister of Justice, Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, and the Comrade Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Pingdwendé Gilbert Ouédraogo, co-hosted a press conference on Friday 25 September 2026 in Ouagadougou announcing the second phase of the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC). The meeting was moderated by Camarade Mamadou Dembélé, Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, and presented the objectives and programme of this national mobilization.
In his opening statement, the Comrade Minister Edasso Rodrigue Bayala outlined the great joints of this second phase, scheduled from 2 to 16 October 2026 under the theme “Burkinabè productions, consummates burkinabè!”. Through this focus, the Government intends to promote national goods and services and make the procurement act a lever of patriotic commitment and economic sovereignty.

The Minister recalled that the JEPPCs, established on April 3, 2024, provide a framework for mobilization around the values of patriotism, civicism and citizen participation. This second phase is also part of the guidelines of the Manifesto de la Révolution Progressive Populaire (RPP), particularly in the areas of socio-economic progress, cultural rearmament and governance.
For Me Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, consuming burkinabè amounts to supporting producers, processors and artisans, while contributing to the creation of income and jobs. Hence this call: “All for Made in Burkina: make every purchase an act of sovereignty”.
From 2 to 16 October, activities will take place in all regions and in the diplomatic missions of Burkina Faso. The programme includes, inter alia, the raising of the national pavilion and the dissemination of the message of the President of Faso, the wearing of traditional clothes, health operations, participation in the Burkina Faso Mêbo yards, blood donations and contributions to the Patriotic Support Fund. Conferences on civics and economic citizenship, fairs and national food tastings are also planned.
October 15 will be devoted to the tribute to President Thomas Sankara. The Night of the Stars of Faso, scheduled for October 16, will distinguish the best examples of citizen engagement.
The Comrade Minister Pingdwendé Gilbert Ouédraogo, for his part, gave details of the government exhibition, a major innovation of this second phase. Scheduled from 2 to 9 October on the SIAO site, it is part of the communication and accountability campaign launched on the occasion of Year IV of the accession to power of Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Faso.
In the Minister’s view, this should enable people to assess concretely the achievements and changes in the various sectors. Each ministerial department will have a stand to present its achievements, reforms and innovations in the service of the people.
The exhibition will mainly provide a framework for direct exchanges between people and members of the Government. These exchanges will take place at the stands, with the support of the technical teams, as well as at thematic panels led by ministers throughout the exhibition. Citizens will be able to ask questions, express their concerns and express their expectations.
“We do not claim to have done everything. Otherwise, of course, there would be nothing left to do.” This meeting with the populations will also help collect their dissatisfaction points in order to better manage them.
A gastronomic area will showcase national products and research results, particularly in the agricultural and agri-food fields. A cultural village will also make it possible to discover the diversity of Burkina Faso’s cultural expressions and to meet living human treasures.

The Minister responsible for Communication invited Burkina Faso to visit SIAO massively to discover the achievements and achievements of the patriotic burst within the framework of the RPP, and to dialogue with the members of the Government. He also called on media professionals to support this approach of accountability by relaying information and exchanges with the people.
